Thursday night live at The Delatite Hotel!

Matthew R is no stranger to the Delatite Hotel - you'll know him from his solo performances and with The Broken River Blues Band. He plays an eclectic mix of Mississippi Blues (think Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters), 60s and 70s rock, and liberal dash of his own stuff thrown in. Playing his self-made guitar, and custom built harmonicas (Blues Harps) Matthew loves to get the crowd tapping their feet, and dancing in their seats.

Matthew will be joined by Chris O - a singer songwriter from Tasmania playing acoustic blues, folk and roots, with a real old time flavour. Travelling like a pack pony, she carries her “band” around with her – lap slide, dobro, ukulele, and even a few plain ole guitars. Cooking up the sounds of the Delta from greats such as Memphis Minnie, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Skip James, Big Mama Thornton, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son House, she also creates and stirs in a whole load of traditional music as well as her own songs of our time here on Earth.
